| 12/4 | -- | Here are the solutions for Test 2. I'll be having regular office hours Monday 2-3 and we will have a review session 3:00 - 3:00 in our classroom. I'll also be around the NCPA most of Tuesday - let me know if you want to come by. |
| 12/2 | -- | Here are my lecture notes on oscillations, waves, and Fourier series. And here is the Mathematica script on Fourier Series. (right click and "Save as ...", then open it in Mathematica) |
| 10/23 | -- | Here is the mathematica script on plotting gradient fields
we looked at in class. I encourage you to play around with
different potentials to see the resulting E fields and get comfortable
with their relationship. (Right click on the link and select
"Save As...", then open the file in Mathematica.) As for reading, you should have read Chaps. 22-24 by now. We will begin Chap. 29 on Currents and B fields on Tuesday. |
| 10/3 | -- | Here are the solutions for Chap. 10 & 11 HW on rotation. Don't forget about our test on Tuesday. I will email a few more details over the weekend. Also I will be around the NCPA all Monday morning and Lewis (in room 211) between 2-3. Let me know if you want to meet. |
| 9/16 | 9/23 | Here are some HW problems for you to take a look at in Chap. 13: 6, 11, 20, 21, 22, 30, 32. |
| 9/11 | -- | Here is a link to the "Spherical Coordinates" page
on Wikipedia. It shows the Physics standard for theta and phi
(theta is polar and phi the azimuth) as we discussed in class, but be
warned that the mathematics standard is the opposite (theta is azimuth
and phi is the polar). They just do this to make your life a
little more difficult. Don't worry too much about the
details, we
won't be using it very much. Here are the solutions for HW02 in Chap. 3 I handed out today in class. |
| 9/9 | 9/16 | HW03 is out of Chap. 7 in HRW. Please do problems: 10, 11, 15, 21, 35, 37, 41, 48, and 49. |
| 9/8 | -- | Here is the Mathematica script we were looking at in class. Right click on the link and select "Save Link as .." to save it to your computer. Then you can open it in Mathematica. |
| 9/5 | -- | I have posted a copy of the math tables I handed out in class the first day in case you lose your copy. |
| 9/2 | 9/9 | Here are the problems for HW02: out of Chap. 3 in HRW
do: 16, 19, 24, 28, 32, 34, 39 Be ready to put some up on the board and turn it in Tues 9/9. |
| 9/2 | -- | Here are the solutions
for HW01 and the math
review sheet (coming soon). |
