PHYS 222

Study Guide for Lab Final

The final will be on the following items.

1) Be able to measure the current, voltage and resistance of a circuit, and/or circuit element.

2) Determine whether Kirchhoff's voltage and current laws are verified by measurement (when DMM uncertainty is determined & propagated).

3) Be able to determine the focal length of a thin lens (both a positive and negative lens).

4) Be able to determine the index of refraction of a material.

5) Be able to determine wavelength & its uncertainty from The Diffraction and Interference experiment.

7) Be able to read and interpret the display from an oscilloscope

What to study?

Look over the experiments on:

Ohm's Laws, Series & Parallel, Kirchhoff's Laws, The Oscilloscope, Reflection & Refraction, Thin Lenses and Diffraction & Interference

All formulas except for Ohm's Law will be provided
