Leo C. Stein
Black-hole modeling, gravitational waves, and observational tests of general relativity.
Research interests
- General relativity and astrophysical tests of gravity
- Analytical modeling of black-hole systems
- Numerical simulations of merging black holes
- Gravitational waves in and beyond general relativity
Leo studies Einstein’s theory of gravity through astrophysical observations. He analytically models and numerically simulates black-hole systems as they spiral together, merge, and emit gravitational waves. Predictions from general relativity and theories beyond it provide ways to test Einstein’s theory with observations.
