An emission nebula - NGC 7380 in Cepheus

A H-II region, a hydrogen gas cloud ionized by the UV radiation of hot stars inside it.

Telescope: CDK 17" (on campus); Camera: SBIG ST-10 CCD camera.

Exposures: 35 min each of red, green, blue; 105 min H-alpha; 10 min [OIII], and 5 min [SII] (3.75 hours total).
