Astronomy Animations
I created these animations to visualize various astronomical and physics phenomena,for the students in ASTR 101 course I have been teaching at the university of Mississippi.
Most of them were created from images generated using C scripts in ROOT, which were then combined in GIMP to create GIF animations. Few were made using the Blender animation package. All those are open source software packages.
They can be viwed online or inserted in powerpoint presentations. Please feel free to use them (with an acknowledgment where you obtained the animation). Your comments and suggestions are welcome.
