  • AAAA (American Association of Amateur Astronomers).
  • ASP (Astronomical Society of the Pacific): A non-profit scientific and educational society.
  • IAU (International Astronomical Union): An organization devoted to promoting and safeguarding the science of astronomy in all its aspects through international cooperation. The only one internationally recognised authority for assigning designations to celestial bodies and surface features on such bodies.
  • RASNZ (Royal Astronomical Society of New Zealand).
  • SAS (Southern Astronomical Society): An amateur society in Queensland, Australia.
