Instructions for Accessing the
Mastering Physics on-line homework system

These instructions are for students in Dr. Gladden's Physics 214 Section 2 ONLY.

If you have a code from last semester, then IT SHOULD STILL WORK! You will not need to buy another code. Simply log in to the system as usual and go to the “First Time Log In” section below.

If you have not purchased a code, you can do so from MasteringPhysics.com and proceed with the Registration section below.

Go to  www.masteringphysics.com.

Registration    
     1. Under Register, click "New Students".
     2. For Step 1, select "Yes, I have an Access Code" and click Continue.  
     3. Read the License Agreement and click "I Accept". 
     4. If you are a returning customer and already have an established Login and Password, you may use the “Yes, Look Me Up” option.
        Otherwise, leave “No, I Am a New User” selected. Click "I'm Not Sure" if you need to check.
     5. Locate, then copy the student access code from the email I sent you.
     6. Return to Registration window, and “Copy and paste it here,” under the Access Code bar.
     7. Paste the code into the extended box that opens.
     8. Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions to complete registration
            (NOTE:  I would UNcheck the box that says "Let Peason send me promotional material.")

 

First Time Log In:

Log in to  MasteringPhysics. Go to  www.masteringphysics.com  enter your Login Name and Password you created during Registration, and click Log In.
     1. You will need the Course ID which is: MPGLADDEN48696
     2.  Enter the Course ID and click Save.

That’s it.  You are now enrolled in the course!

Now click on "Assignment List" to look at the current assignments.
