Gravitational Physics
Here are links to some useful resources in theoretical gravitational physics:
- The Division of Gravitational Physics of the American Physical Society has two websites: the unofficial website, regularly updated with news and announcements, as well as the official APS website.
- The International Society on General Relativity & Gravitation.
- The hyperspace@gu server for general relativity and gravitation.
- The GR group at the University of Mississippi.
- The GRIT group in Lisbon.
- The TAPIR group at Caltech.
- The StronGrHEP (Strong Gravity and High-Energy Physics) RISE network.
- CQG+, the companion website to the journal Classical and Quantum Gravity.
- Marc Favata’s awesome list of gravitational-wave resources.
- Leo Stein’s Emmy Noether-inspired webpage (you may notice a striking similarity with this webpage - thanks, Leo!).
Conferences
I was the main organizer of the following conferences:
- The Seventh Physics and Astrophysics at the eXtreme (PAX-VII) online workshop (2021).
- The Parametrized Tests of GR workshop at JHU (2018).
- The First NASA LISA Study Team/ESA Science Study Team workshop at JHU (2018).
- The StronG BaD (Strong Gravity and Binary Dynamics with Gravitational Wave Observations) workshop in Mississippi (2017).
- The Testing general relativity with astrophysical observations workshop in Mississippi (2014). This workshop led to the writing of a (very long) review on this topic: see arXiv:1501.07274.
- The Seventh Gulf Coast Gravity Meeting GCGM7 in Mississippi (2013).
Other
- The NIST Digital library of mathematical functions (DLMF) reference, which replaces Abramowitz and Stegun.
- The Astrophysics jobs rumor mill wiki.
- The Birth of an Idea website.
For students
- If you are a student interested in joining my group, please check out the graduate students admissions page of the Physics and Astronomy Department at Johns Hopkins University. If you need more information, contact me by email (see link to the left of this page).
