We are offering a public viewing of the sky in Kennon Observatory at
Ole Miss this Friday (March. 11), 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The Moon looks great in a telescope. There are no planets until late
night; only Saturn comes up around 9 pm.
We will also be observing the Pleiades, star clusters, and colorful
double stars, as well as the Orion Nebula.
Observations are possible only if the weather cooperates. In case the
weather is cloudy, or rainy, there can be no observation.
Families and children are welcome, the event is free!
