Medical Applications of Ultrasound

Ultrasound has many medical applications; hemorrhage control, medical
imaging and cancer treatment to name a few. While some of these applications
are well established in the medical field, many are still under research and
development. In this talk, I will discuss some of the newer applications of
medical ultrasound and how they work. In particular, I will discuss my
research in the area of high intensity focused ultrasound for hemorrhage
control, the physical challenges limiting this technology and how these
challenges may be overcome.

ALL GRADUATE STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND
