Subject: [Kennon] Public Night at Kennon Observatory on Friday

After a few months of break, we are again offering an astronomy open  
house in Kennon Observatory at Ole Miss
this Friday (Oct. 10), 7:00 pm to 10 pm.

We will be observing Venus (it goes down soon after sunset though),  
Jupiter, the Moon, as well as a few colorful double stars and star  
clusters.

Observations are possible only if the weather cooperates. Although  
the forecast looks good, we can never be sure of clouds. In case of
cloudy sky we'll offer some physics demonstrations in the laboratory.

Families and children are welcome, the event is free!
