The meeting will take place at the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC) in Kolymbari, about 22 km south of Chania, on the north coast of the west part of the island of Crete, Greece.

Participants are expected to arrive at the OAC on Sunday 13th September. The registration at the Conference Center will start from 6 pm. There will be a welcome reception at 7 pm. The conference will start on Monday 14th September and will end in the afternoon of Friday 18th September.

The premises of the OAC offer tranquillity, high standard facilities and hospitality. Thus, the OAC provides a unique environment for successful scientific events. To increase participant interaction and create a fruitful scientific atmosphere, participants are encouraged to stay on site.

The prices are

  • Single room with ensuite facilities: Euros 115 per night per person.

  • Double room with ensuite facilities: Euros 85 per night per person.

  • Shared double room with ensuite facilities (student discount): Euros 55 per night per person.

The prices above include breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as two coffee breaks/day. Rooms will be available from 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Sunday 13th September and should be vacated by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday 19th September. Participants planning to extend their stay at the OAC should clearly indicate it in the Registration and Accommodation Form.

Payment for the accommodation will be made by cash or credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) on the day of your arrival at the OAC.

Several hotels provide alternatives to the Orthodox Academy of Crete, all within 3 km of the Conference Center (see this link). However, we advise to check directly with the hotel the effective distance to the Conference Center (2-D maps can be treacherous!). There are three camping sites nearby, but they are not within walking distance. Public bus service is available from these camping sites to the OAC.
