The goal of the workshop is to bring together experts in experimental tests of general relativity, modified gravity and astrophysics. The discussion will be very informal with a small number of talks, and it will revolve around:

* current experimental constraints on Einstein’s theory,
* theoretical and numerical investigations of proposed extensions of general relativity, and
* the experimental opportunities that may open up in the near future with gravitational-wave observations.

The workshop was partially made possible thanks to the support of the International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) Grant Numerical Relativity and High Energy Physics, awarded by the European Union under the FP7 program. Unfortunately we do not have funds to cover travel and lodging.

If you have never visited before, Oxford (home to Nobel-prize winning author William Faulkner) has been named by USA Today as one of the top six college towns in the nation, it has been included for five years in a row among the Great Colleges to Work For by The Chronicle of Higher Education, and it is regularly ranked among the best small towns in America (number 2 in 2013 according to Livability).
