Fermilab Experiment E-791

line

E-791 is an experiment investigating the hadroproduction of charm quarks performed at Fermilab from June 1988 to January 1992. The UMHEP Group built the "muon wall" for the detector and was responsible for the reconstruction of one-third of the 20 billion events recorder over the experimental run. Our main emphasis is the study of charm quarks lifetimes and decay modes. Five students from UMiss have received their degrees on this experiment.
