Field theory & bootstrap

We use amplitudes, positivity, and bootstrap methods to study consistency in gravitational and quantum field theories.

Symmetry, locality, causality, and unitarity place powerful restrictions on physical theories. We use these principles to explore gravitational physics without committing to a particular microscopic model.

Methods and applications

Our work develops effective field theories, scattering amplitudes, positivity bounds, cosmological correlators, and conformal-bootstrap techniques. We also apply bootstrap ideas to spectral geometry, linking properties of manifolds and compactifications to the spectra and interactions of physical theories.
