The second school & workshop on gravity & theoretical physics will take place at the Physics and Astronomy Department (Lewis Hall) of The University of Mississippi - Oxford on January 8-11, 2007.

The purpose of the school/workshop is to discuss and exchange ideas on Field Theory, General Relativity and related areas. The school is open to all interested students, who will be given the opportunity to present their current research (time permitting). Time for students will be assigned on a first-come basis until all the available slots have been filled. Senior faculty will present a series of lectures. The main campus of the University of Mississippi is located in historic Oxford (Lafayette County), about 75 miles southeast of Memphis (TN) and 55 miles west of Tupelo (MS). Home to Nobel Prize-winning novelist William Faulkner (1897-1962), Oxford is a vibrant University town, filled with exclusive shops and galleries, fine restaurants, and historic landmarks. The University of Mississippi hosts an array of exciting athletic events, art programs, and exhibits year around. Parks and recreation centers that offer swimming, hiking, fishing, golf and other sports are common in Lafayette County and nearby counties.

The school/workshop will start on the morning of January 8th and will end on the afternoon of Thursday January 11th. Participants are expected to arrive in Oxford on Sunday January 7th. The tentative program can be found here.
