CATFISH 2.10 - Released February 21, 2008

CATFISH precompiled executables are free for educational/research purposes. For commercial or non-educational use written permission must be granted from the author. CATFISH program and documentation cannot be sold, redistributed, reproduced or altered without permission of the author. The source code may be made available to interested parties on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the author for further information. System requirements (Linux)

  1. Operating system: Linux x86 platform
  2. Intel pentium class processor (233 MHz or faster recommended)
  3. 512 MB of RAM (or larger recommended)
  4. 200 MB of free hard disk space for 10k event simulations (or larger recommended)
  5. Gzip and Tar archive packages (available free at http://www.gzip.org/ and http://www.gnu.org/software/tar/tar.html)

  1. Operating system: OS X 10.3 or higher
  2. 512 MB of RAM (or larger recommended)
  3. 200 MB of free hard disk space for for 10k event simulations (or larger recommended)

Installing

To install the CATFISH Linux distribution follow these steps:

  1. Create a directory named catfish-v2.10 (mkdir catfish-v2.10) and change to that directory (cd catfish-v2.10)
  2. Click the link to download the archive file catfish_Linux-v2.10.tar.gz
  3. Decompress the archive with the following command: tar -zxvf catfish_Linux-v2.10.tar.gz
  4. Read the file README

To install the CATFISH Mac OS X distribution follow these steps:

  1. Create a directory named catfish-v2.10 (mkdir catfish-v2.10) and change to that directory (cd catfish-v2.10)
  2. Click the link to download the archive file Intel (catfish_Mac_Intel-v2.10.tar.gz) or PPC (catfish_Mac_PPC-v2.10.tar.gz)
  3. Decompress the archive with the following command: tar -zxvf catfish_Mac_[version]-v2.10.tar.gz
  4. Read the file README

Running

  1. To start CATFISH, change to the directory where you installed it and run catfish-v2.10.exe (linux) or catfish-v2.10.x (Mac).
  2. The input file catfish-v2.10.inp contains the physical parameters of the simulation. To change the physical parameters simply edit the catfish-v2.10.inp file.
