10/08/2009 - Monday Oct 12 class is canceled and will have to be rescheduled. I
opened an online poll where you can indicate your preference for a time.

and fill the form by Friday Oct 9 evening so we can decide a
convenient time for everybody.
10/08/2009 - The mid term test will be an in-class test and will take place in Lewis
228 on Wednesday Oct. 14th at 9am. The duration is 50 minutes. The test
consists of three simple problems for a total score of 10 points (10% of
the final grade - see the course syllabus). Dr. Berti will proctor the
test. IMPORTANT: All students enrolled in the course are required to
take the test as scheduled.
10/08/2009 - Many of you did not return all homeworks that have been assigned so far
(assignment 1 through 6). I will stop accepting these assignments after
the end of next week, October 16th. Please return missing assignments
by the above date if you want them to count towards the final grade. I
remind you that home assignment account for 60% of the final grade. I will
likely assign 10-11 homeworks overall, so for each missed assignment you
lose about 5-6 points (5-6% of the final grade).
10/19/2009 - The make-up class for the cancelled class of October 12th is now scheduled for Thursday, October 22nd at 5pm.
10/22/2009 - Monday Oct 26 and Wednesday Oct 28 classes are canceled and will be rescheduled. Tentatively, they will be held Thursday Oct 29 and
November Thursday 5 at 5:00pm.
10/23/2009 - Monday Oct 26 class is rescheduled for Thursday Oct 29 at 1:00pm.
12/04/2009 - The final exam will consist in a take home part (download here: POSTSCRIPTPDF) and an oral part to be held on Wednesday, December 9th 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in Lewis Hall 228.
Please note that failure to appear at the oral final exam will result in a fail grade.
